   If Darren Bent is Worth £16.5m, Crouch is easily worth £15m!!

   keep crouch give him more games get ride of voronin has not gd enough for liverpool kuyt good but not score enough goals as hes always on the wing
   plus get ride of Harry Kewell,Yossi Benayoun,Jermaine Pennant,John Arne Riise is gd but can go plus also can go Xabi Alonso.we need a top forward and two wingers and another Defender

   Peter Crouch has not been playing because of the system Rafa has been playing (fact)
   When ever Crouch has put on a Liverpool shirt he has performed and scored goals.
   Rafa wants to keep him but cant place him ahead of Torres (ofcourse) but knows he cant operate wide like Babel and Kuyt can (almost)

   Crouch will only go if he really wants to and the money is going to bring in a decent replacement.
   Maybe he is not worth 15million but you try and find a tall, gangly goalscorer with a great touch that causes defenses like he does.

   You can’t really look at it that way. I agree that Voronin can’t cut it and Crouch has more goal threat than him and Kuyt, but that is still a fair price for an England international who can offer something unique with his height.

   Look at it this way, if Shevchenko were to be put on the market tomorrow, do you think Chelsea will take anything else than £15m for him despite his age?

   He’s featured even less than Crouch this season, and scored even less goals, but class is permanent, even when the player in question hasn’t been playing regularly.

   Not saying that Crouch is anywhere near Sheva’s class, of course. And after Darren Bent went for £16m, you can’t say Crouch isn’t worth that much in comparison.

   It is not a question of prefering Voronin over Crouchie.

   Voronin is not worth anything and even difficult to offload for free

   The £15m valuation is a lame attempt at getting teams to pay more or if he’s offered to Villa, we won’t have to pay much for Barry …

   His true valuation would be about £8m (which is what we’ll probably get) as he only has 1 more year left on his contract.

   if bent is worth 16 million, and hargreaves worth 18 million, and owen worth 18 million, then crouch is seriously UNDERVALUED at 15 million.

   If Martin O`Neill says that Barry is well undervalued at 10m cos he plays for England, well Petey is established at international level and 15m is fair

    I used to trust Rafa Benitez fully before but now I do not trust him very much because he sometimes makes not only strange but stupid decisions. Benitez scares to play Crouch as many games as Torres he may think Crouch would have scored more than Torres. I honestly believe if Crouch has played as minutes as Torres he would have scored more than 32 goals so far and Liverpool would have been challenging for premiership title and in the champions league final. Rafa thinks he is Divine Wisdom but he is not he is just an ordinary person. I think the time has come that liverpool fans to criticize him in order to put him in the right path. One of his stupid decisions was in champions league final when liverpool were trailing instead of bringing in a forward or a midfielder he brought in a defender, Arbeloa. I will never forgive Benitez for that stupid decision.

    Its simple … he has one year left on his contract and can go for free next summer … he either signs another contract or Rafa gets whatever he can for him now!

    Other clubs understand a players value drops when they are in there last year, so I expect Rafa is playing a game, he may use crouch as a swap for another player, maybe barry … or maybe portsmouth have a player rafa wants… Rafa is just rying to do the best for the club and other managers do the same …..

    Portsmouth would do well to pick Crouch up, and he’ll probably end up going for less money than that. Defoe and Crouch always score goals when they play together. Looks like a deal to me.

    Unfortunately its going to be another year of second rate signings BY Rafa Benetiz FOR.

    He just doesn’t have the touch of Wenger or the balls of Fergie to unearth a hidden gem or land a world class star (exclusions made for record signing Fernando Torres) although everyone always knew about him. Whereas Arsene Wenger’s 7 million swoop for Adebayor (1 goal in 19 games before the transfer) and scored almost the same amount of goals this year still beats the 20 million on Nando.

    Lets see how Gareth Barry turns out, I mean his other domestic signings have been inspired. They are the backbone of the team. Like Gerrard and Carragher (what’s that he didn’t sign them?)

    Oh well then Pennant and Crouch (what’s that he wants to get rid of them, but they only just got there) - Signing Pennant from Birmingham where he wasn’t a star and after he had previously failed at Arsenal (ambitious?)

    Crouchy isn’t worth 15 million, but Patrick Vieria wasn’t worth 500,000 either. He was worth far more, but such are the market conditions that Crouch can go for that much, Chelsea buy Wright-Phillips for 24, and Utd are going to pay 18.6 for Carrick - you are gonna have to pay through the roof and buy English rather than Spend Wisely.

    Crouch is a player they should hang on to. He always plays well - its a pity they just can’t play with torres it doesn’t seem to work.

    They only way to fix Liverpool now is to get rid of the brains behind bringing in Voronin, Zenden, Paletta, Insua.

    Barry who isn’t the star for Aston Villa ( 6th place this year ) how the heck is he going to be the star for Liverpool. Are they not trying to win the title. Or just continue to buy mediocre players.

    Soon it’ll be breaking news Benetiz sports unearths gem. Stuart Downing to finally solve Liverpool’s left wing problem. 18 million.

    Here’s a receipe that will solve all your problems LFC. Write this down I don’t want you scousers complaining you “Canny rememba’ what that Gooner was helpin’ out wit earlia’ mate.”
    1. Sack the Spaniard
    2. Get Gillette to sell to Hicks, or Hicks to sell to DIC
    3. Sack Rick Parry - business acumen of shovel
    4. Sack the Squad that ain’t gonna win you the league. I’m talking full clear-out sale.
    Crouch (decent dancer, decent touch, only can play long ball), Pennant (not electric pace, decent player… for Fulham… Reserves), Kewell (deserves to be down under - 6 feet under), Xabi Alonso (too much a luxury player for the premierleague), Voronin (born for porn), Finnan (old), Hyypia (older), Rise (at least he finally scored this year), Aurelio (decent not getting younger, too slow to be a winger, can’t tackle well enough to be a defender)
    5. Don’t forget… Sack the Spaniard I know this was a long rent but he’s already trying to make ridiculous free signings (remember how Voronin and Zenden worked out) Does he not realize there is a reason they are given new contract offers? (Philip Degen)
    6. Try to sign David Moyes - that Bluenose knows what he’s doing, he’d be your best signing yet.
